MONDAYS: COOKING, EXERCISE AND BACK TO ROUTINE. WELL, PUT THE BLAME ON ME.

The week begins and Monday starts off. In fact, after days of no routine, I am unusually glad for Monday. With my son back to school, I can get back to work on my table.

Monday check list:

45 mins of cardio to burn all the weekend junk. Well, God only knows how much was burned but my guilt was at least burnt away as I was cycling to glory. Ha ha ha!! – CHECK

Healthy home cooked breakfast and Lunch – CHECK

Making sure my son Mr. choosy eater eats a healthy lunch i.e. dal wali roti +ghee +jaggery – CHECK

(after giving him an ultimatum no lunch then no favourite milk) he he he 😈

Back to stuffing my self with proteins i.e. 2 egg whites in a day and 1 protein shake – CHECK

Taking my son to buy his bubble bath after school – CHECK

And the cleaning up his bubble massacre – LEAVE IT FOR TOM

Spend time with ‘travel a lot’ husband who would be travelling tom – CHECK

Sorting laundry and piles of clothes accumulated during the weekend CHECK damm more clothes from today’s ironing to still sort out NEVERMIND

Finishing last night pending work – STILL PENDING

As I swim through Monday,  I listened to this song ‘Echame La Culpa’ on repeat mode.

Its a nice positive peppy song. Its means lets not fight, Blame me, I’ll take the blame and let forget everything else.

In fact my son till now hardly likes any new songs –  songs have to be old.  He only likes listening to those old is gold wale songs, Everyday,  with his habits,  i get more sure he must living in the 60’s era in his last life. ha ha ha!

But he loves this song and thus on our way back from school we put on repeat mode.  🙂

As my husband heard this song playing on my phone,  he commented , “What are you, 19? What is this song?”

I laughed and told him well may be you are getting older.  I am eighteen till I die physically, mentally I feel I am around 60 ha ha ha..

I am sharing this recipe I cooked so that Mr. Choosy eats fruits. Its a moist apple cake.

edients:

1.5 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup oil

1 egg

1 cup buttermilk

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp vanilla essence

2.5 cups flour

1.5 cups chopped apples

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp butter

Pre heat oven to 325

Mix ingredients in the given order (except last three)

Pour batter into the cake mould

Combine the last three ingredients and sprinkle them evenly over the batter

Bake for 45 mins and serve warm
