MAKING MEMORIES & PEAS MUSHROOM CURRY

Its vacation time thus there is a stock of unused energy in my son and my husband is constantly travelling. So well, mumma has to be on her toes. Its quite fun ! its just that I have hardly any time to do an update on All Izz Well.

Yesterday I was convincing my son to take a bath. So I decided to trick him.  I told him let me wash your hands in the shower area. While washing his hands, I sprinkled some water on his night dress. I tell him, “oh look your T shirt has got wet, lets take it out..”

Then I tell him, ” chal ave since you are wet let me give you a bath and shampoo your hair.”

Son gives me a naughty smile, he seems more that happy to take a bath. Well… I am a bit confused thinking –  sala abhi toh mana kar raha tha..

Now I am trying to remove his pants. I sit on my legs like how the village people sit. He doesn’t  lift his legs so his pants are gathered at his ankles.

I tell him, “Betu hold me and lift your legs one by one so that I remove your pants and all..”

As I am fiddling to remove his pants making sure he dosn’t fall down,

Suddenly he fills the tumbler and says, “mumma ne huh navi karavu, mumma ne pan shampoo karvu..”

Then pours a tumbler full of water on my head, I screamed, ” no no kabu no ..”

I am still trying to remove his pants..

Another tumbler of water and after the 3 rd one on my head,  I am drenched in water !

My son is vibrating with laughter. I look at him and start laughing in the same rhythm.

Apparently, we had to go somewhere for office work and I was all ready except to change into my new clothes.

I finally sat on the floor laughing and my son is trying to do malish on my head…singing…

It was a task to reach the office on the assigned time which we did reach but along with that we also made a memory of a life time !

That’s what parenting is about – its also about reliving your childhood with your child !

Along with this idea, I am sharing a recipe of Sanjeev Kapoor, who’s cookery show  Khanna Khazana I used to see when I myself was a child. I enjoyed watching his cookery show. I loved the way he explains his dishes, he talks as if he is teaching a small child and I thought he was talking to me. Little did I know that one day I would fall in love with food and cooking.😋
