This Saturday evening Bharat mama, Drashti mami and Niti came to meet us, play with our baby….( mama means mother’s brother and mami means mama’s wife)
i decided to make easy tikkas and tandori aloo..my mum made the pudina ki chutney( mint chutney)
our dog Tyson was tied to the swing as poor guy had an operation and is not suppose to go in the mud…suddenly he started jumping like crazy…I realised mama’s entered the premises..
while they were playing with my baby, I prepared the snacks…it was a fun family evening with..both my sisters having a good time eating, my baby playing with them and me catching up with my mama and mami…
The images are ok cause I was multi tasking…between the preparation, the baby and catching up with all…I clicked the photographs in a hurry…

With not much time, I did not prepare the tikkas, I just served everything in a plate and served with the chutney
RECIPE : QUICK TIKKAS
Below is a photograph of the tikkas I had clicked earlier
INGREDIENTS:
[Serves 2-3]
100 grams of paneer ( cottage cheese) cut into square pieces
1 tomato deseeded and cut into square pieces
1 capsicum cut into square pieces
1 large onions cut into square pieces
1/2 cup curd
1 tbsp tikkar masala
2 tsp ginger garlic paste [optional]
1 1/2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste
wooden tooth pics soaked in water
METHOD:
In the curd add the tikka masala, vinegar, salt, ginger garlic paste, paneer and mix well. If you have time leave it in the fridge to marinate for an hour or two.
Add all the other vegetables to the crud mixture and mix well.
As you can see in the photograph, take a toothpick and put paneer, capsicum, tomato and onion in any order and keep a side. Continue this till all the vegetables are put in the toothpics.
In a non stick pan heat the oil and place all the tikkas in it once they are a bit cooked on one side rotate them and cook the other side. Once cooked take them out the serve immediately.
Instead of making tikkas you can also take a pan, heat the oil and put all the paneer and vegitables and sauté for 5 minutes or till the water evaporates and the vegitables and paneer is done.
TIP:
For the tikkas you can add any vegetables of your choice like broccoli, cauliflower or mushrooms.
shall update the recipe of tandoori aloo and pudina chi chutney soon…
Looks incredible! Ah! Now I’m hungry and I literally just ate.
The snacks look beautiful and delicious. Makes me drool….
